The Founder
Joey Alter is a skilled executive with over ten years of experience in direct marketing, specializing in paid social customer acquisition and retention. As the founder of Internet Adventures, Joey has successfully managed multi-million dollar ad campaigns for Fortune 500 clients, including $500,000 per month in profitable Pinterest spend. He is also an accomplished freelancer, delivering exceptional results in conversion rate optimization, copywriting, and email marketing. Joey is passionate about continuous improvement, applying this mindset to enhance paid social strategies, long-form copy, and conversion funnels.
Job Description
We are hiring a Social Media Advertising Specialist to join our growing team.
The ideal person for this role has a genuine interest in online advertising, and a growth mindset. We are deeply interested in training someone to find creative solutions for themselves rather than a single person working alone. A willingness to learn all you can and continually improve is much more important than more years of tenure. It would be awesome if you had experience managing budgets of $10K and higher, and if you have experience writing ads that generate ROI. If not, we are willing to teach you.

What Your Workday Will Look Like
- Audit client accounts twice a week for performance insights and opportunities
- Own day to day management of accounts including ad uploading, budget pacing, optimizations and bidding
- Media planning for clients (you will break out monthly budgets into flights, or daily pacing plans - with guidance from the CEO)
- Test planning (ideation, prioritization and test roadmap) - with guidance from the CEO
- Doing work to specification outlined in our agency processes
- Helping to revise agency processes for future hires (do this well to get your quarterly bonus)
- Eventually own weekly calls with clients, creating the agenda, and managing reporting as needed
- Eventually collaborating with designers, actors, and videographers to produce ads that drive conversion
Requirements
- 1-3 years of Meta Ad or TikTok ad experience, with a focus on direct response
- Demonstrated ability to work under and meet KPIs
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, and vlookups will be necessary)
- Proactive mindset instead of reactive
- Self-motivated, able to thrive in an environment where goals are clear but the path to achieve them isn’t always
- Growth mindset, always willing to learn
- At least one reference who can speak positively about you
- Excellent command of English, and great communication skills
Nice To Have, But Not Required
- Portfolio of ads you’ve written or helped produce that drove conversion
- Have one creative “special skill” you can bring to the table, (Photoshop for image design, copywriting, video editing)
- You’ve worked on B2B accounts before
- You’ve run ads on more than one paid social channel before
