The company is reimagining traditional off-price with a digitally-native model focused on customer experience. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Associate Vice President of Paid Media to lead our digital marketing initiatives within the retail/fashion sector. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, the successful candidate will spearhead the development and execution of our digital media strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement, new customer acquisition, and revenue growth across various online platforms. Deep knowledge of all digital media channels and expertise with performance marketing will be integral to this position. This role will manage a team of digital media professionals and agency partners.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within the retail or fashion industry
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital media campaigns that drive measurable results and achieve business objectives
  • Performance marketing expertise required, including optimizing campaigns towards CPA, CAC, and / or ROAS on a daily basis
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data analytics tools to interpret campaign performance and make data-driven decisions. Including understanding of different types of marketing measurement such as MMM, MTA, Incrementality via geo match-market, etc
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset, capable of identifying new opportunities and developing innovative solutions to achieve marketing goals
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and motivating high-performing teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

As 'AVP, Paid Media', you will:

  • Media Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive paid media strategies aligned with Saks OFF 5TH's overall marketing objectives and brand identity across the funnel. Communicate these strategies effectively across the organization and to the Executive Leadership team. Oversee the management and optimization of digital media budgets across multiple channels, including paid search, affiliate, display, social media, and video / audio. Lead a team of digital marketing professionals to execute campaigns flawlessly with our agency partners. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Budget Management: Oversee budgeting process across media channels optimizing investment to drive incremental revenue. Monitor budget pacing and manage campaigns to KPIs (i.e. ROAS, CAC, New Customers). Work hand-in-hand with agency partners to ensure alignment on monthly budgets and daily pacing. Stay aligned with the finance team from forecasting monthly media budgets through to accruals & payment.
  • Measurement, Analysis, and Test & Learn: Frequently review KPIs including (i.e. ROAS, CAC, New Customers, Incrementality) in order to maximize growth and return. Identify and act on areas of opportunity for the business, including partnering with the Measurement & Investment team. Ability to vet through data from multiple different sources and analyze and determine priorities based on results. Provide weekly performance updates of digital media campaigns, highlighting successes, challenges, & areas of opportunity to be shared with cross-functional teams and leadership Collaborate on a learning agenda with the Test & Learn team to find opportunities to scale across efficiency and effectiveness pilots.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead partner, agency, and platform relationships, providing clear direction and feedback to optimize campaign performance. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, e-commerce, retention, and creative, to ensure alignment and integration of digital media efforts with overall business goals. Partner with engineering, product, and analytics on projects related to on-site pixels, UTM tracking, conversion APIs, marketing measurement etc. to ensure requirements are communicated and delivered.
  • Team Management & Development: Develop talent through coaching, feedback, and exposure to further their growth as well as meet the priorities of Saks OFF 5TH. Drive engagement by fostering a positive culture where people are motivated and inspired to do their best to help Saks OFF 5TH achieve its objectives. Manage execution of responsibilities and workload of the team to achieve deliverables on time and with desired results.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $165,000 and $18,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits), dependent on the position offered.
