We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Paid Digital Strategist for The Well’s media team. This position is responsible for creating and executing paid digital media campaigns to ensure digital media plans meet client-specified expectations, performance, and budget. It is absolutely imperative that you have worked extensively in-channel with Google, Linkedin, Meta and other channels as an Ad Operations Specialist (not just strategy) at an agency, implementing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage Digital Media Ad Operations Associates and lead the media team to activate paid digital media campaigns (display, video, social, search, and programmatic)
  • Development of paid digital media strategies, including media plan, budget allocation, channel mix, tactics per channel, creative needs, and reporting.
  • Detailed knowledge of all paid media channel capabilities, targeting, etc. to ensure the correct media mix and KPI's for various clients and audiences. Channels include Google, Meta, Linkedin, YouTube, Bing, Pinterest.
  • Lead conversations with the media team on ways to work faster and smarter to prevent errors, ensure consistency, and create a QA checklist.
  • Direct AdOps team for budget pacing review and management. Manage template for pacing documents and continue to evaluate better pacing strategies, automation, and new technology to simplify pacing and allow for greater accuracy.
  • Review and QA all monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations, ensuring the Ad Ops team submits accurate numbers, and that client campaigns are aligned with actual budgets.
  • Build in-channel campaigns, spot-check campaigns and guide Ad Ops team in best practices, organizing, reporting and optimizing to the highest level.
  • Optimizations in all channels, developing requirements based on campaign performance review and directing Ad Ops team on implementation.
  • Create professional reporting in PowerPoint presentations for client updates, including analysis of data, updating reporting tools, and telling the "story" of performance, optimizations, and high-level view of strategic goals.
  • Be proficient in Google Tag Manager set-up, tagging of landing pages and websites, and application of conversion actions, troubleshooting when necessary, while training team.
  • Strategically plan and develop full Digital Media Strategy using client Media Brief, to develop media plan, including budget allocation, channel mix, tactics per channel, creative needs, reporting. All should align with client goals.
  • Have deep knowledge of all channel capabilities, targeting, etc. to ensure the correct media mix and KPI's for various clients and audiences.
  • Stay abreast of Industry trends, identifying opportunities for the agency pertaining to new channels, new technologies, cookieless strategies, etc.
  • Cultivate meaningful client relationships based on trust and mutual respect, managing email communications and responding to client requests promptly.
  • Manage team by setting team member goals, clearly communicate expectations, addressing development and skill build, and encourage constant learning and cooperation.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital media (agency experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • A passion and/or skill for training and development, as the role involves both doing your work and supporting others on the team in their pursuit of excellence
  • If you’ve never passed the buck, you probably have the commitment to excellence and ownership of your department work that we’re looking for
  • Experience with digital platforms – if you can go deep on programmatic, Google, Meta, Linkedin, and more, including Tag Management Systems (GTM, etc.), and have proven hands-on keyboard experience, then you’re ideal for the job
  • Exposure to and/or interest in online advertising bid and pricing models (CPA, CPM, CPC, CPI) a bonus
  • While we’re listing technology, we’d love to see skills with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge/experience with the Google Marketing Platform (GMP) helps
  • Skills in QA’ing ad tags and conversion tags in a browser environment or tag diagnostic tool are important
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PPT and XLS

A curious mind, hard work ethic, and desire to learn are paramount.

  • The Well Advertising, Inc. does not currently offer corporate healthcare insurance, but will pay a stipend to cover the individual purchase of health insurance

  • Any new business leads provided to The Well will be compensated with a New Business Commission at 5% of gross revenue, less out-of-pocket media fees.
  • If hired full-time, you will be provided a laptop for remote work

Current Role:

  • Freelance role to start with the intended opportunity for a full-time position
  • Weekly hours between 9am to 5pm Central Time
  • Expectation is that you are available during these business hours for internal meetings and tasks, based on agreed-upon schedule; must be U.S. based
