A day in the life:

  • Power Digital is looking for a Social Media Intern to join our team this summer. If you’re eager to learn about the ever-changing social landscape and get your foot in the door with an incredible digital agency, this opportunity is for you. This is a hands-on internship where you’ll have the opportunity to get real-world digital marketing experience in a fast-paced, super-fun environment. You’ll learn the inner workings of social media platform strategy and how all of the moving pieces fit together to make a brand successful. If you’re a quick learner with a positive attitude, then this is the perfect internship for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Learn to navigate social channels as a marketing professional, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
  • Post, comment, and share on behalf of clients daily
  • Learn to understand social personas and return-on-relationship building through social content
  • Build targeted influencer lists across a variety of niches (lifestyle, beauty, F&B, fashion + more)
  • Assist in influencer campaigns from A-Z including creative brief building, pitching, invoicing, and influencer communications
  • Support in ideating compelling influencer campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more
  • Learn to create cohesive branding and sales messaging
  • Understand the content creation process, video ideation/planning, execute and schedule monthly content calendars, and post videos for a variety of clients
  • Help build a content creator database for TikTok video outsourcing
  • Optimize social pages for proper user experience and indexing
  • Perform research on customer behavior, industry trends, reports, and changes
  • Learn to create effective boosted post strategies and audience targeting
  • Conduct competitor analysis across different channels
  • Collaborate with the Social team to ensure social initiatives are aligned with wider campaign and client goals
  • Understand the social client onboarding and setup process
  • Understand weekly and monthly client reporting through third-party tools and Google Analytics

Role Requirements:

  • Social media experience working across multiple social channels (Including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Youtube, Google My Business)
  • Working toward or recently received a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and reliability
  • Strong writing and grammar skills
  • Strong desire to learn and contribute to an evolving department in San Diego’s second-fastest-growing company
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop or Adobe XD) and/or video editing experience (Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects) is a plus, but not mandatory
