Position Purpose

Support planning, coordinating, and executing flawlessly Petco’s paid media campaigns across Paid Search, Social and Display working closely with Manager and Director. Support the Marketing team in implementation of tests and maximizing ROI, traffic and new customer acquisition working with internal stakeholders, agencies, and publishers. Specialist will have a strong focus on project management, attention to detail for creative and copy, and equally the ability to critically evaluate metrics. Keen ability to work with partners and agencies.

Other Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute Paid Search text and shopping cost per click campaigns, including campaign development and day to day management of Paid Search and Social campaigns. Responsible for implementing tactical improvements to meet business ROI, Acquisition and Conversion Rate goals.
  • Responsible for ongoing optimization tactics to meet business objectives, including daily management of campaigns, bid and budget management, keyword expansion, ad copy/creative testing, and data feed optimization.
  • Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools, produce weekly and monthly performance reports and additional ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes and in accordance with business needs to ensure campaigns are executed in a timely manner.
  • Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communications.
  • Strong communication and emerging leadership skills are required due to the volume of interaction with outside vendors and agencies in addition to senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, planning and negotiating skills are required to effectively coordinate all aspects of the offline and online plans.
  • Must have very strong ability to manage and develop analytics for moderately complex marketing strategies. Utilize digital analytics tools to actively monitor or measure success of digital campaigns.

Planning and Problem Solving

This role requires that the incumbent properly plan, set timelines, project manage, and adhere to process due to the nature of work with cross-functional teams. Evaluates, pursues and measures digital marketing initiatives, opportunities, and priorities based on their fit with company strategies and KPIs such as online purchase/consideration and offline sales. Effectively synthesize performance results to optimize campaigns in market and provide POV on future initiatives based on learnings to achieve YoY increases in KPIs.

Impact

This role ensures that digital campaigns are executed flawlessly and accurately from planning, gathering of assets, launch and measurement to achieve an optimal return on investment. In addition, pursues the latest digital opportunities and testing strategies to keep the organization competitive in the marketplace.

Education/Experience

Four-year degree in Marketing, Advertising or Business. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for a degree. 3 to 5 years of experience in digital marketing, ideally with experience developing cross-channel digital programs. Experience working with and managing media and creative agencies a plus. General understanding of customer targeting and segmentation. Experience with data onboarding and audience management; prior experience with LiveRamp or other data-onboarder is a plus. Proficiency in Adobe Analytics, Google Adwords, & SA360 a plus. Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

$63,600.00 - $95,400.00

Exact rate of pay will be based on position, location, and experience level.
