The Digital Health team is an energized group of strategists who meet at the corner of healthcare and multi-channel experiences. They promote performance-based strategies, content, targeting and measurement to help our pharma and med device clients meet and exceed their program objectives. The team manages global integrated campaigns, social activations, and digital consulting assignments – everything from influencer best practices to emerging technology and social platforms to consider.

The team is hiring a Director, Paid Media, to align paid media opportunities to audience-first channel preferences. The new Director will be face-to-face with our impressive clients and lead junior staff as part of the team bringing results-based solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with Digital Health and Account leads to define and implement paid media strategies in accordance with brand goals and overall company business objectives
  • Define all elements of native, display, search, paid social, endemic and other media needs for the agency teams who will create
  • Analyze and interpret digital performance/analytics data on an ongoing basis; conversion measurement, identifies trends and actionable insights for continuous optimization
  • Manage performance across all back-ends and partners
  • Define and manage paid media tests – e.g. ad copy, dayparting, and landing pages
  • Establish relevant KPIs for the various channels, campaigns and tests
  • Manage assigned budget
  • Craft monthly, quarterly, and annual digital marketing reports for internal stakeholders
  • Create ad hoc/special request reports on an as needed basis
  • Drive and oversee campaign development and execution, including partnering with others for paid media and analytics
  • Play a key role in the annual planning process, representing Golin Health as a results and strategy-oriented client partner
  • Foster and maintain productive and influential client relationships
  • Cultivate a culture of support, growth and partnership among team and peers

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field with 8+ years of experience driving and executing paid digital / social media / marketing campaigns
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong digital marketing lead generation and consumer engagement expertise, including substantial experience with search engine marketing, social media marketing, display advertising, retargeting/remarketing, and other paid channels
  • Expert level knowledge of Google Ads
  • Tagging and pixel experience, work in omnichannel trigger-based systems a plus
  • Knowledge of analytics tools including hands-on experience with Google Analytics, WordPress Analytics, and ability to create effective data visualizations and reports
  • Data-centric approach to recommendations
  • Skilled in self-project management; highly organized and detail-oriented
  • A strong understanding of PESO modeling and experience integrating campaign strategies and tactics across all content types
  • Advanced knowledge of the regulatory landscape and understand its implications toward the healthcare industry’s use of media
  • Confidence when presenting
  • A solutions-oriented, self-starter, you don’t wait to be told what to do next, you’ve already started the process/downloaded the app/started the free software subscription

Salary Range: $100,000-180,000

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
