As our Paid Media Planner at Hedy & Hopp, you will have a unique opportunity to lead and build our holistic paid media services. In this role, you will be the resident media thought leader for the agency and our clients, and be responsible for three key areas of success: 1) developing successful media plans on collaboration with our Strategy team that drive results, 2) managing and collaborating with the Media Activation specialists as they execute against the strategy, and 3) providing insightful evaluation and recommendations, alongside our Analytics and Decision Sciences team. The position is our go-to resource for paid media questions and must be a positive, proactive leader, effective communicator, and solution-oriented team player.

The ideal candidate has 5 or more years of experience with paid media strategy development and management and is very interested in building their leadership skills. This position includes working with clients to develop paid media strategies to support marketing objectives and is a good fit for a candidate that is excited to bring new media opportunities and creative problem solving to our agency.

Though their primary focus will be on developing media plans and sharing results, this role will often collaborate with the Strategy, Account Service and Analytics teams to ensure media programs are developed and set up to achieve client goals, evaluate performance effectively and find new areas of opportunity. The Paid Media Planner will report to the Director of Digital Activation.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and develop paid media strategies to accomplish their goals, in collaboration with client team
  • Build out paid media plans, including flowcharts where required, to ensure alignment on and guidance for media activation and evaluation
  • Provide a solid understanding of and communicate on how campaigns are performing and how to optimize appropriately to improve campaign outcomes
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices
  • Managing various sized paid media budgets & complexities to ensure money is being spent effectively
  • Support the management of campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
  • Facilitate and lead media RFPs, buying and placement where third party partners (including contractors) are required

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience building holistic media strategies, including online and offline platforms. Minimum 2 years working with healthcare clients.
  • 5+ years of experience with paid media management, including large ($100k+/mo) and modest (<$20k/mo) budgets
  • High proficiency in Google Ads and Meta knowledge and activation
  • Proficiency in activating and evaluating core digital channels including but not limited to social media, programmatic display/video and streaming audio & video
  • High proficiency in evaluating media channel performance and spending trends
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, and experience setting up tracking, including UTMs, to evaluate campaigns effectively
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel and Google Slides
  • Agency experience required
  • Experience working with remote teams a plus
