Job Summary:
The Owned Media team is seeking the lead marketing strategist for our team. We are looking for a talented, data-driven marketing individual who is passionate about the customer and can evolve our channel strategy to deliver on the right balance of value and relevance across Chase.com and in the Chase Mobile App. This individual must highly analytical, proficient at driving and influencing change, drive roadmap delivery and outcomes, and relentlessly create value for the channel, our customers and the firm.
Job Responsibilities:
As an Owned Media Channel Strategy Director in Consumer and Community banking you will be tasked with the holistic strategy for the Owned Media Ad Channel, working with other channel leads to create omni-channel customer journeys and influence different aspects of a customer’s lifecycle. This is a highly visible, strategic role with significant interaction with cross-functional teams across the firm. You will work heavily with product teams to personalize, innovate and move forward one of the most impactful marketing channels at Chase.
- Oversee end-to-end strategy for the Owned Media channel (Chase.com – secure and public- and mobile app) including but not limited to strategy and logic (optimization, performance levers, models), test and learn agenda, customer targeting, content creation, and more across lines of business
- Manage Owned Media team which is responsible for BAU intake, Page and Placement, Testing and Innovation and Optimization strategies across the channel. Ensure that not only day to day execution is implemented with a strategic lens but drives the team towards forward thinking efficiencies and innovation
- Regularly work with other channel leads to ensure that we are creating omni-channel and personalized experiences and journeys for our customers with a data driven mindset that creates value for the firm
- Develop and leads strong collaboration and partnership between many cross-functional teams including design, research, digital, creative, technology, execution and various stakeholders to advance the channel
- Maintain a maniacal focus on data in order to influence channel strategy through insights to improve and capitalize on performance. Regularly using the data to drive decisions in the channel and improve the OKRs for the broader organization
- Lead in incorporating digital capabilities, vendors, insights and more to advance the channel in an innovative way, being able to be forward thinking in what is needed to drive the channel
- Lead in regular share outs on the channel performance, roadmap, OKRs, issues and more to senior leaders across the firm both internally and externally helping to ensure that the current and future Owned Media story is regularly being told.
Required Qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- 10+ years of marketing experience desired with expertise in digital conversion strategies and innovation
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving and planning skills with attention to detail, organization and ability to manage a variety of timelines
- Strong at developing partnerships that influence change; recognized as a team player and works well collaboratively
- Proven ability to take data, distill and use to drive current and future strategies and insights; break down complex concepts and results into clear communication paths to ensure we are bringing our partners along in our collective journey
- Experience in leading a high performing team with a strong record of people leadership and development
Preferred Qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Experience in mobile and web channel marketing with MarTech experience a plus
- Strong relationship development and negotiating skills; able to earn respect and trust among internal and external business partners and team members
- Excellent written and oral communication skill and highly proficient in storytelling via Microsoft Suite
