Your Role
As a key player in our fully remote team, you'll play a crucial role in managing accounts payable in the dynamic landscape of marketing services. Your media agency expertise will shine as you streamline billing processes, reconcile payments to paid media channels, and lead a small, dedicated team. This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to foster a culture of high performance, integrity, and ethical actions.
Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce financial and reporting policies in compliance with industry standards
- Lead month-end close tasks, including accounts payable and related reconciliations
- Supervise daily reconciliation of restricted cash from clients for pass-through media spending
- Manage cash disbursements, invoice entry, and expense policy for multiple entities
- Oversee integration of media payables system and accounting system
- Ensure timely payment of vendor bills
- Review and analyze departmental reporting against monthly budgets
- Forecast cash disbursements and contribute to financial planning
- Lead and coach a team of accounting professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 6-8 years of accounting experience, highlighting paid media agency expertise
- Experience with pass-through media accounting and adherence to contractual obligations
- Extensive experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite)
- 3-4 years of people management experience, building high-performing teams
- Financial closing, consolidations, reporting, and planning experience
