The primary missions of the Director, Media and Business Performance are:
- Lead media strategy, planning, buying, and optimization by identifying the right channel balance and media mix to promote various offers;
- providing insights into the optimal communication channel to target the right customer at the right time with the best possible message
- Use segmentation best practices for campaign targeting including buyer personas, customer journey and intent-based insights.
- Responsible for end-to-end management of demand generation campaigns, including set up, QA, ongoing analysis, and optimizations with a clear understanding of campaign goals, objectives and KPI’s.
- Employ best practices to discover new demand generation sources while optimizing growth from existing channels.
- Provide leadership in developing best practices for measuring and optimizing strategic marketing investments and campaigns to drive data-driven decision making and operational performance and excellence across Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty brands globally.
- Work with internal and external teams across all advertising execution, SEO, analytics, and integrated campaign management.
- Guiding the development of digital marketing plans across a variety of channels ensuring a consistent customer experience with create and website teams
- Partnering with the communications, product / brand marketing teams to create revenue driving marketing programs
- Leveraging data analytics as well as ad hoc research to support business objectives
- Identifying and championing new tools, channels, tactics, and experiments to drive continued growth
- Provide data driven insights that create revenue opportunities and clarify full workload understanding
- Lead development and integration of robust marketing models (i.e., MMM, Customer Lifetime Value, RFM, Growth Strategy Mix, Product / Price / Promotion, multi-touch attribution, etc.)
- Streamline and automate ongoing reporting process across all media for all brands and their impact on overall business (i.e., Identifying goals, tracking pace and areas of risk and opportunities for e-commerce, etc.)
- Oversee production and communication of weekly and monthly paid performance across all levels of the organization
- Support collaborative initiatives with cross-functional teams including Revenue Management, Sales, Finance and Operations
- Responsible for ongoing demand generation forecasting with Finance to measure, analyze and report on the impact of demand creation activities on pipeline, revenue and customer lifetime.
- Foster and grow a culture of innovation and adaptability with a test-and-learn mentality
- Provide perspective on how to optimize resource allocation across the four Ps (product, place, promotion and price), level of spend and allocation within each P and identify optimal go-to market investments opportunities
- Provide input on design and testing of various forecasting methodologies as it relates to loyalty points balance, customer behavior and propensity to buy
Key result areas:

Educational Background:
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, business-related discipline, or related field required (MBA highly preferred)
Professional Experience:
- +8 Years of professional agency and/or client experience within marketing, advertising, or related field
- Experience with media buying and planning.
- Responsible for multi-million-dollar advertising budgets and programs
- Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of ATL and BTL advertising with a proven track record of successful results.
