OutSystems is looking for a data-driven Director of Paid Media Strategy to lead our paid search, social and digital advertising efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, evolving, and growing Outsystems’s paid media programs, ensuring it is based on Outsystem’s business and strategic objectives, and overseeing the plan and execution of these programs which includes strategy, tactics, forecasts, budgets, and projections, and performance metrics. Reporting into the Vice President of Digital Marketing, this role will partner with our global leaders to drive quality leads into our funnel and convert them into opportunities and ARR.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on, get-it-done, skills who has experience managing the execution of digital marketing programs both with in-house teams and through agencies. You need to be comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-growing environment with competing priorities. Successful candidates must possess the ability to see the big picture, understand the needs of our internal stakeholders, recognize geographic nuances, effectively prioritize, and ultimately implement a best-in-class paid media marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and mentor a highly skilled team of digital marketers to build a culture of high performance and drive business growth.
  • Oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of Outsystems’s global digital marketing programs based on company goals, regional needs, industry best practices, and KPI’s.
  • Manage and scale a large advertising budget and own the return-on-investment targets for all digital channels, including: paid search, retargeting and display, social, and other platforms.
  • Manage the continuous optimization of digital marketing audiences, ads, creative, and landing pages, leveraging data analytics and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with Global Campaigns, and regional marketing teams in the Americas, EMEA, and APJ to build programs that support our pipeline and revenue targets globally.
  • Be Outsystems’s subject matter expert in the areas of paid media, digital marketing, and audience acquisition and provide digital marketing expertise and execution services to key stakeholders.
  • Identify new digital marketing program opportunities and develop strategic investment recommendations to support Outsystems’s aggressive growth plan.
  • Lead recommendations and implementation of new and modern digital marketing opportunities, capabilities, and tactics, like leveraging 6sense intent data in new use cases.
  • Manage and optimize agency and vendor relationships related to key digital marketing channels.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to streamline, automate and measure all digital marketing programs.
  • Partner with the Web team and Product team to optimize on high value website conversions, including our trial products, demos, and contact sales.
  • Lead digital content and creative review and recommendations to improve conversions.
  • Ensure continuity of messaging, and value proposition across digital programs, as well as adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Closely partner with the SEO team to ensure consistent messaging, uncover patterns and opportunities to better understand and optimize our SEM programs.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience, including some in a Digital Marketing leadership role within B2B tech, with a demonstrated ability to achieve goals and yield results.
  • Experience with Google Ads, DV360, LinkedIn, and Google Analytics; agency experience is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce account and campaign structure, as well as its reporting capabilities.
  • Must be comfortable rolling up sleeves to get the work done and on occasion being hands-on and executing digital marketing programs.
  • Deep understanding of the B2B sales funnel stages and targeting strategies to engage and progress audiences at various stages.
  • A proven track record of delivering consistent, highly-qualified leads into the funnel in a cost-effective manner.
  • A record of partnering and collaborating with internal marketing teams to execute a comprehensive strategy across initiatives.
  • An ability to demonstrate and articulate a process-driven approach to executing on digital marketing, social media campaigns, and ABM that support pipeline goals and objectives.
  • Experience communicating marketing strategy, plans, and insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Thrives on a data-driven approach to marketing with the ability to make fact-based decisions and work proactively with others to share the insights and drive change.
  • Must be comfortable asking for help when needed and crossing roles to help others when priorities dictate the need.
  • Experience developing media strategy recommendations that are supported by data and presenting proposals to senior marketing leaders.
  • Experience with vendor and agency selection, on boarding, management, and review processes.
  • A demonstrable understanding of cause and effect with respect to business metrics, and proven management of budgets on a large scale.
  • High-level understanding of campaign set up and architecture, as well as exposure to technical implementation of conversion tracking and the moving parts.
  • Experience with Account Based Marketing tools and practices like 6Sense, Folloze, Bombora, and others.
