The Manager, Digital Media Walmart+ Acquisition Marketing role will be a key contributor to growing our membership base for Walmart+. This person will have 3 key responsibilities in this role, including managing all paid digital media marketing channels to drive new and valuable Walmart+ sign-ups, test into new partners/platforms to expand reach, own weekly reporting across the acquisition team to review performance metrics and costs. This person will leverage their paid media campaign strategy and development expertise to test into audience segmentation, geo-targeting as well as creative messaging through Display, Paid Social, SEM and Affiliate partnerships.

This person will partner most closely with the Enterprise Activation (EA) and Marketing Analytics teams to create learning agendas and test plans to optimize and drive performance across Display/Paid Social, SEM, and Affiliate channels. This person will also collaborate with external creative and media agencies, to test messaging and audience targeting. Additionally, this person will also partner with Finance to keep a close eye on key performance costs.

This person will be responsible for socializing strategy/tactical plans and results to marketing leadership and business partners. This role will be instrumental in helping drive one of Walmart's most prominent and rapidly growing businesses, and must thrive in a collaborative, high-profile, fast-paced environment.

This person will interface regularly with:

  • W+ Acquisition & Retention marketing
  • W+ Brand marketing
  • paid channel leads ie Enterprise Activation team, Creative & Copy, Marketing Operations & PMs, Integrated Marketing Communications, Media, Marketing Analytics, PR, and Finance.

Our Marketing team has flexibility on location, for most of our openings, you can live within driving distance to one of our hubs: Bentonville, AR, Hoboken, NJ, San Bruno, CA, Sunnyvale, CA or Los Angeles, CA. We're moving toward 3 days in the office per week, with flexibility.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Developing effective marketing strategies - Develop digital media strategies for each individual channel in addition to creating a holistic strategy to understand how all paid media channels interact with each other. Innovate by testing with new partners and platforms to uncover incremental marketing opportunities.
  • Leveraging tools & data - Partner with internal Analytics team members to draw insights from week over week performance and create actionable next steps. Use tools and data across the organization to identify a profile of a profitable acquisition target.
  • Optimizing toward quality - Build test plans and learning agendas to optimize and improve performance. Work closely with our media partners to optimize creative and audience targeting to find the balance of serving the right ad to the right person at the right time. This also includes managing and optimizing our paid media budget, working to find an effective and scalable CPA for each channel.
  • Building strong relationships: Maximize relationships with new and existing partners, to understand and evaluate each digital media channel's capabilities to inform longer strategic plans. Manage external agencies to help deliver on your goals.
  • Operating with excellence - Be a storyteller and support your recommendations with data and informed research. Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 2-5 years marketing experience owning Display Media and SEM channels
  • Experience creating strategic, cross-media solutions and strategies
  • Ability to draw insights from data and report out results
  • Creative marketer, ability to conceptualize new ideas and new ways of working
  • Highly collaborative, team player, strong influencer, and relationship builder
  • Highly organized, detail and results-oriented
  • Budget and forecasting experience preferred
  • Membership, e-commerce experience a plus
