Location: Florham Park, NJ

Boomerang’s Paid Media Lead will be responsible for the planning, implementation, measurement and management of paid media channels. Channels include but not limited to SEM, Programmatic, Direct Display, Video, Email, Print, and Social. Ideal candidate will be able to obtain necessary information from functional teams and craft and deploy digital strategies to meet client objectives. Must be able to interpret data into actionable insights, manage and mentor cross channel team to ensure deliverables are met; and present insights and recommendations to external team members/ clients. This position reports directly into the Director of Digital Marketing and located in Northern New Jersey.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Manage media executions across multiple channels/accounts simultaneously, providing both performance and insight summaries to clients on regular basis
  • Lead planning/strategy meetings with client and external agencies/ teams, resulting into clear, actionable communication plans
  • Manage media finances (negotiated rates, buys, and actualizations), with accountability to finance team on monthly basis
  • Create and manage measurement plans across channels and agencies to ensure proper set up of campaigns. Identify KPIs based on client needs and campaign outliers.
  • Continually communicate industry trends, emerging technologies, and beta testing opportunities to internal and external members to showcase leadership in digital marketing arena
  • Seek and leverage wider assets and resources when needed to accomplish tasks. Includes research, audience insights, IT resources, UX design, etc.
  • Manage current vendor relationships, while exploring potential new partners applicable to the Pharma space.
  • Continually evolve vendor relations/contracts.
  • Understand and adhere to pharma advertising guidelines, including but not limited to fair balance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel 20% locally
  • Minimum of 8 years digital marketing experience, with skillset around planning, buying, execution, testing, and measurement to include:
    • Deep knowledge/experience using digital planning, tracking, measurement/analytical, and competitive tools such Google Analytics, DoubleClick, Google Data Studios, Kenshoo, Marin, SEMrush, Conductor Searchlight, and programmatic dashboards/engines
    • Deep understanding of analytics – pulling data, crafting insights and recommendations, working in automated dashboards
    • Knowledge of agency functionality - agency or client-side
    • Experience managing, mentoring, and growing a team of peers and subordinates
    • Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative department

Considered but not mandatory:

  • Pharmaceutical experience – agency or client-side
  • Client-side experience - life sciences/health a plus
  • Working for international company and/or global teams
  • Ability to be entrepreneurial within wider ecosystem
  • Experience in planning or buying print media
