Paid Social Media Specialist, Direct Response
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office (Add locations) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
The Paid Social Media Specialist, Direct Response will be responsible for advertising campaigns managed by the Social Marketing Team, along with developing and creating the reporting and analysis that is involved in each campaign. Campaigns will be managed across platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and others. This role will not directly create content, but will partner with the Social Media Content Marketing role to determine the specific content needed for each campaign. Research and planning will also be a large component to this role. This individual will need to partner with LOB partners, Enterprise partners and 3rd-party partners to understand the audiences they will advertise to. Although not a main component of the role, this position will also support other functions of the Social Marketing Team as needed, including monitoring and team project management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Platform / Ad Partner Management – Work with partners at the social media platforms on campaign planning, reporting and optimizations.
- Strategy – Develop advertising flighting plans, test plans, etc. for each social media campaign recommendation.
- Project Management – Ensure each campaign or advertising test has clear delivery dates, KPIs, executive sponsor, and other specific project details outlined for tracking purposes.
- Research – Partner with advertising partners and internal partners to gather necessary insights to inform the development of campaign strategy.
- Competitive Intel – Track competitive activity on social media to inform how The Hartford compares from a campaign and advertising standpoint.
- Goal Setting – Understand and recommend how each campaign or test will be measured.
- Meeting Facilitation – Host as-needed meetings (e.g. weekly huddles, quarterly leadership meetings) that have clear agendas and actionable next steps.
- Budgeting – Monitor and manage campaign budgets, and work with business partners and Social Marketing Team on any updates or changes that are needed.
- Reporting – Develop reporting framework to measure the success of the programs/tests. This should be reported out directly to business partners on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly).
- Communication – Keep open lines of communication between partners on the Social Marketing Team, Consumer Affairs Team, LOB Marketers and others to ensure they are aware of the campaigns you are working on and messages (positive and complaints) that are coming into The Hartford.
- Best Practices – Keep up-to-date on the latest enhancements to social media and digital marketing advertising and offer guidance on the best ways to use these tools/platforms.
- Social Media Monitoring – Monitor and respond to questions and issues during set monitoring hours.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
