A client in the media industry is seeking a Paid Social Manager to join their growing marketing and social media team in a full-time role. The Paid Social Manager will work closely with the Senior Director of Social Media to take ownership for the company's paid social marketing approach. The ideal candidate needs experience building, optimizing, and reporting on Paid Social campaigns across brand accounts through multiple social networks (ex. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube) to promote conversations around best practices, strategic development of the marketing campaign, and relevant KPIs and metrics. The ideal candidate needs to be a strong self-starter, have a thorough understanding of social content, the ability to advise best platforms, asset requirements and holistic paid/earned strategy. It is important that this person can be an internal advocate to continue to build business cases and show the value of the medium to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements in ongoing campaigns. Day to day responsbilities include:
- Help define and shape global social media strategy, brand guidelines and overall business KPIs.
- Have the understanding and capability to be able to directly access social buying platforms to setup and manage campaigns.
- Build and launch new campaigns according to internal request details.
- Contribute to strategy, paid media optimizations, audience targeting, and messaging.
- Articulate and educate on paid media optimizations for improved acquisition performance.
- Make swift optimizations to meet client performance goals.
- Compile reporting data and identify insights to share with internal stakeholders.
- Recommend new paid media tactics, concepts, partners, and approaches to inform broader marketing strategy.
- Media, agency, media brand, or podcasting network experience
- Experience with 3rd party social campaign management platforms
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing
- Experience managing social campaign budgets from start to finish
- Experience using a content management system
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in media/agency roles with a strong foundation in digital media and marketing for brand-building
- Experience in helping shape and define social strategy, content and buying
- A strong communicator with a can-do, positive attitude and a strong desire to get things done with the ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Deep understanding of paid media mechanics, including pixel implementation, KPI optimization, audience targeting, and bid/budget management
- Experience managing a monthly budget of up to 10k
- Experience pitching strategy and spend to upper management
