The Paid Media and Demand Generation role manages digital marketing projects and processes with the objective of building and sustaining presence in digital channels, and increasing revenue and profitability. Under limited supervision, this job works to develop and improve web content and creation, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media marketing processes to attract potential customers to company websites.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Works to support the development and implementation of digital marketing efforts to build and sustain presence in digital channels and to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Manages the creation, maintenance, and publishing of digital marketing content for both company and non-company websites and social media platforms, ensuring content and display support marketing initiatives to meet business goals.
  • Researches and creates original content and coordinates internally developed content from other areas of the company based on target customer profiles.
  • Performs website editorial activities to ensure all digital marketing content is high quality, up-to-date, and consistent with brand and style guidelines.
  • Locates and negotiates the purchase of external content to advance the organization's digital marketing content library.
  • Optimizes digital marketing content and text to drive high search engine rankings.
  • Applies advanced digital marketing knowledge to drive sales through online channels and shares best practices and insights with the digital marketing team to advance the organization's digital platforms.

The Paid Media Operations role helps support all tagging, trafficking and campaign management and execution across both paid and owned media at TIAA and Nuveen. This role reports directly to the Director Paid Media Operations and works closely with other members of the paid and social media team as well as the agency, client marketing, key sales stakeholders, technical/development resources and the analytics team in order to create, manage and execute on paid and social media campaign priorities, key KPIs and timing. This role will bridge the gap between the advertising side of the execution with the technology and tracking teams. The role requires an understanding of the digital omni-channel landscape, ability to understand and execute advanced paid media plans and the capacity to guide more complex and sophisticated integrated strategy to exceed goals.

What you'll do:

  • Support all paid and social media campaign activation, supporting agency and inhouse media and creative teams to activate digital campaigns (display, video, social, mobile, and programmatic).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams and agencies for campaign trafficking, ad specs, QA and troubleshooting, providing detailed insights and recommendations for improving processes.
  • Test, troubleshoot, launch and optimize advertising campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring timely asset delivery and proper implementations by aligning on all timelines. Effectively communicate the status of campaigns to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on new technologies, market trends and industry best practices and privacy changes as they impact the ad ecosystem.
  • Become a subject matter expert on ad and supporting digital technologies; understanding the ever-evolving media landscape
  • Support marketing analytics teams with daily, weekly, and monthly campaign results.

What we're looking for:

  • 5 – 6 years of digital marketing experience, specifically in brand/performance marketing or advertising technology
  • Strong knowledge of multiple digital channels and how they work together (SEM, SEO, CRO, Social, Shopping, Display, Social, CTV, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of related technology and key data elements including segmentation, trafficking, tag implementation, A/B testing, auto-optimization and cross-device integration
  • Adept at managing a range of campaigns across different products, budgets, and target audiences
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and peers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically around presentations
  • Effective time management and project management skills
  • Prior people-management experience
  • Proficient in G Suite & Microsoft Office

Base Pay Range: $91,900/yr. - $110,200/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
