The Role
We are seeking an Associate Director, Video Strategy to support our Paid Search team grow and evolve its YouTube and integrated Video practice. This individual will be responsible for helping to define strategy, drive operational execution and be adept at positioning our YouTube offering as best in class, both internally and externally. They will work closely with the head of paid search, the paid search team, client services, and sales to re-define our YouTube offering and substantially grow YouTube and holistic video investment. This person will also focus on testing at scale and building case studies to prove the impact of YouTube and video. Generally this individual would not be hands-on-keyboard but instead will act as a strategist/advisor for the Paid Search team and will be client-facing for both current accounts and new business opportunities.

You Will Be
- Defining the business strategy for YouTube based on market opportunity, customer needs, our product capabilities, and competitive differentiation
- Partnering with Head of Paid Search to set the holistic strategy and growth plans for the client engagement inclusive of existing campaigns and initiatives and new opportunities that ladder up to client business objectives
- Evangelizing YouTube & Video internally; inspiring the team to see YouTube's greater potential so that YouTube is considered a must have within any media plan
- Acting as the subject matter expert for all YouTube related inquiries and training key stakeholders and team members on how to communicate our positioning in the marketplace
- Ensuring YouTube and performance video is part of cohesive, integrated media plans for our clients
- Identifying upsell opportunities for our current clients who should be investing more heavily into video and YouTube
- Auditing existing accounts to audit best practices, recommend growth opportunities, and evaluate creative strength
- Assisting with new business proposal creation and distribution for video and YouTube strategy
- Collaborating closely with our Heads of Paid Search, Paid Social, Performance Creative and Connected TV for integrated video strategy across channels
- Partnering with various agency partners and YouTube experts at Google to create a scaled approach to YouTube growth, defining best practices, testing Alphas/Betas at scale, and defining the narrative around YouTube CTV testing and growth
- Helping to evolve our measurement philosophy as it pertains to video buying, attribution and Performance Video's place in the consumer path to purchase
- Leading on the creation of training materials to ensure paid search, client services, and paid media strategy teams are up to speed on best practices and operating consistently across clients
- Proactively ensuring that the paid search, client services, paid media strategy, and sales teams are educated on new and innovative video strategies and that continually inspires teams to raise the bar strategically, creatively and operationally
- Maintaining knowledge of industry trends within the YouTube and video landscape and representing the company at relevant industry conferences and networking with partners
- Developing and facilitating targeted marketing initiatives (e.g. thought leadership pieces, blog postings, panel discussions)
You Must Have
- 5 years of experience on the brand, agency or consulting side of the digital marketing industry
- 3 years of experience running campaigns or driving strategy focused on YouTube
- Deep understanding of the Google Ads and integrated video/CTV/OTT ecosystem as well as direct experience creating and selling scalable video solutions to brands and / or key stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge of YouTube campaign/creative types and measurement solutions, past, present and future
- Leadership and initiative to change the narrative within Wpromote's largest team
- Strong expertise and background in media analytics and/or audience data management platforms
- The ability to work closely with Google, collaborating with our top partner, while also challenging the status quo
- Working knowledge of search, display, video, social and/or paid media campaign types and partners
- The drive to significantly grow the YouTube practice at Wpromote
- Innate curiosity and passion to learn what's next and an ability to figure out new and different ways to apply evolving media technologies to our current practice
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
