Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and optimize paid search campaigns across various platforms, focusing on local markets, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, Yelp, SpareFoot, Craigslist, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Twitter Ads
  • Conduct keyword research, develop ad copy, and create compelling ad campaigns that drive traffic and conversions
  • Analyze campaign performance using a variety of tools, such as Google Analytics, Excel, Google Sheets, and Tableau, to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement
  • Monitor and manage budgets to maximize ROI and meet company objectives, including managing seasonal budgets and forecasting performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align local strategies, including sales, customer support, and product development, to align paid search strategies with overall marketing goals and company objectives
  • Manage external vendors and maintain strong relationships to ensure optimal campaign performance
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that our paid search strategies remain cutting-edge and effective
  • Manage and mentor a Junior PPC Manager, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success and growth within the team
  • Evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes as needed to optimize workflows and achieve goals
  • Optimize both digital and offline channels with a special focus on enhancing local marketing performance
  • Design and optimize landing pages to improve user experience and conversion rates
  • Develop and implement multi-channel attribution models to effectively allocate budgets across marketing channels
  • Dig deep into data, ask hard questions, and explore innovative solutions to challenges when others might give up
  • Contribute to the development and scaling of our marketing platform, helping to "build the machine" that drives growth and success
  • Communicate campaign results, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization through presentations and reports

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, or a related field
  • 7-10+ years of experience in paid search management with a special emphasis on local market strategies, preferably in the self-storage industry or similar industries. Proven experience managing and optimizing local campaigns to boost ROI.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Yelp, SpareFoot, Craigslist, and other advertising platforms
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience in Excel, Google Sheets, and Tableau
  • Advanced certifications in Google Analytics, Tableau, or other relevant tools
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or R for automating tasks and performing advanced data analysis
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, conversion optimization techniques, and landing page optimization
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a team, with a focus on developing talent and fostering a positive work environment
  • Experience managing vendors, forecasting performance, optimizing digital and offline channels, and working with multi-channel attribution models
  • Track record of dependability, focus on results and demonstrated success in past roles
  • A strategic thinker who is not just an executor but a proactive problem solver
  • Cultural fit with the company's values, vision, and long-term goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep local SEM / SEO / digital expertise is the desired candidate
  • Google Ads and Bing Ads certifications
  • Demonstrated experience in Digital/Offline marketing to a local market is highly desirable
  • Experience with SEO and content marketing strategies
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools
  • Experience managing local campaigns will be a distinct advantage
  • Firm understanding of multi-channel attribution and reporting
  • Remote experience demonstrating a strong self-initiative approach to work
  • Demonstrated ability to think about how to improve a process

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
