This role will be a critical position within the data strategy, infrastructure and decision science function within the TIAA marketing analytics organization and evolving our paid media data and reporting infrastructure. The individual will interact across XFN marketing and product partners to understand the paid media landscape, scope out and build the proper infrastructure, scale reporting and deliver insights to drive the short and long term marketing strategy. Key skills critical to success in this role are ability to build strong partnerships across the firm, strong analytical skills, executive communication, ability to influence and drive actions based on insights.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Regularly interact with business partners to understand business needs, craft problem statements to effectively design appropriate analytics solutions.
  • Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing dashboard reporting for operations and executive management to enable data driven decision making.
  • Analyzing results for multiple functions and communicating conclusions from complex models to a wide range of audiences.
  • Succinctly articulate business problems to an executive audience, build appropriate visuals to tell a compelling story using customer, product insights.
  • Partner across the organization to understand key business drivers, develop tools to explore leading indicator, develop scenario-based projections to forecast short and long-term trends.
  • Build analytical power-user tools, to explore data and respond to business questions. Partner with data scientists as needed, effectively interpret statistical models for business use cases.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with Decision Science
  • Programming experience in SAS/Python/R and SQL, stored procedures.
  • Experience with data manipulation and visualization tools such as Tableau, DOMO, Alteryx.
  • Must have experience with common source systems and platforms such as but limited to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Nielsen, Social Platforms, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data governance and hands-on tag and variable implementation experience for product launches, using Web Analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc) or Tag Managers (i.e. Tealium, Google Tag Manager, Segment, etc.).
  • Must have experience in utilizing typical tools and technologies in data management and warehousing such as Snowflake, CDPs, etc.
  • Experience working with omnichannel media analytics for both agencies and clients related work
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent
  • Exposure to A/B Testing methodologies, crafting targeted custom variables, segmentation, and analyses to validate a hypothesis
  • Good understanding of Attribution Analysis to examine marketing campaign influence in site traffic volume and conversion rates.
  • Can manipulate large datasets and present complex information in a easy to understand way for business stakeholders
  • Managed various stakeholder groups, with clear and concise communication to help them identify business goals, translate them into measurable KPIs, and set expectations on reporting impact
