Brand Story Experts (BSE) is looking for a very organized, detailed-oriented, analytical thinker with a strong desire to learn to join our team in Bradenton as a Junior Media Buyer.
[aka Assistant Media Buyer, Media Coordinator] This position has the opportunity to see first-hand how the world of media is planned, bought, and implemented within the cycle of advertising from start to finish.
This position is responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with media sales representatives, assisting with the creation and execution of media purchasing strategies. It is imperative that the personality of the agency is carried forth by the Junior Media Buyer that observes a relationship model. Further, on-going education will be given to ensure that this position remains current with dynamic changes in traditional media, as well as all emerging messaging platforms, providing the company with a competitive advantage.
This position will not work in any Social Media channels (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc) but all other avenues of paid media (ie. TV, radio, print, out-of-home, targeted online video/display).
Responsibilities
This position requires performing duties including, but not limited to, the following:
- Learn Brand Story Experts Media Buying processes.
- Assist developing, executing, and monitoring advertising strategies with the Media Director, Sr. Media Buyer/Planner and Digital Manager that will most effectively reach the desired audience.
- Lead and manage campaign avail requests and setting up TV/Radio estimates and goals in Strata
- Work with Media Team to evaluate new opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors, working to resolve any issues that may arise
- Manage makegood schedules and placements
- Help secure pre/post logs, track added value and lead posting and reporting projects
- Assist with campaign, audience and market research as needed
- Actualize budgets after flights run, comparing placed media with actualized buys.
- Request reporting and track campaign performance.
- Upload all electronic invoices into media buying system
- Traffic media materials (TV, Radio, Print, Online and Outdoor) to media outlets
- Assist in creating presentations with media team for clients
- Attend meetings with vendor partners or with Media team to explore opportunities and continually learn about the ever-changing media industry
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor's degree, with an emphasis in communications, business, advertising, sales, marketing, or other related field
Paid media foundation, with an understand of media terminology and general practices
No agency experience required. Internship or relevant coursework a plus.
Adaptive to a changing and fast-paced, teamwork environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
Comfortable with high volume of face-to-face, phone, and email communication
Analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
Able to think critically, and identify and resolve problems.
Strong ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
Ability to clearly and effectively articulate summaries.
Ability to learn new industries and new media types quickly and can apply this knowledge to advertising initiatives and help achieve department goals.
High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation, but able to take direction and execute when given a task.

Understanding and experience with Google Analytics is appreciated, but not necessary for this role, as the education will be provided.
Salary Range $42,500 - $45,000 to start
Growth Potential to Media Buyer after 1 year
