Must be willing to travel regularly to U.S. locations. The role is remote but will require in-person filming sessions regularly in Austin, Texas and other locations.

SUMMARY: helps normal, everyday, people create meaningful streams of income with books. We are an online-education company that teaches our students how to sell books and audiobooks on Amazon and Audible. We aren't for authors, but for anyone that would like to create consistent streams of passive income.

Our goal is to be the one-stop shop for everything publishing related. This year we are making massive strides towards achieving this goal by launching our own software. The better we make our products and the more support we give our students, the better we can help them achieve their financial goals.

About the Role:

is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable video producer who understands the ins and outs of direct response marketing and paid advertising. Main priorities include the production of large amounts of video content, editing, and art direction for assets used across several platforms. This person should be proactive, innovative, and passionate about the company's product offerings.

About the Team:

The marketing team consists of 7 core members and is growing. Our current team mostly works on ad production, paid advertising placement, and funnel optimization. We are looking to expand into other marketing strategies, such as blogging, SEO, and social media. You will work closely with our media buyers, director of digital marketing, and our CEO to produce the best ads and content in the industry.

What You'll Work On:

As a Video Production Specialist at you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand through compelling visual storytelling. Your creativity and technical expertise will contribute to the success of our marketing efforts across various platforms. You will collaborate closely with our marketing team to produce engaging video content that captivates our target audience and drives results.

Here are some key responsibilities:

  • Video Content Creation: Produce high-quality video content for advertisements, social media, and other marketing channels as well as VSL content, showcasing our products and educational offerings. Collaborate with content creators, copywriters, and media buyers to ensure alignment with marketing strategies.
  • Editing and Post-Production: Apply your mastery of video editing techniques to enhance raw footage, add motion graphics, animations, and special effects, resulting in polished and impactful visual content.
  • Collaborative Ideation: Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative video ideas that resonate with our audience and convey key messages effectively.
  • Production Management: Coordinate and oversee video shoots, both remotely and during in-person filming sessions in Austin, Texas and other locations. Ensure smooth production processes, manage equipment, and direct talent when necessary.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and high quality of all video content before publication.
  • Stay Current: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging video technologies, and creative techniques to bring fresh and effective approaches to our video marketing initiatives.

Requirements for this Role:

  • Must have at least 3 years of heavy video production and editing experience.
  • Must have experience with motion graphics.
  • Experience working with common digital advertising platforms such as YouTube, Google Ads/Display Network, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc., Primarily YouTube.
  • Hands-on experience in editing Video Sales Letters (VSLs) is crucial. Your expertise in crafting persuasive narratives, pacing, and visual elements within VSLs will be essential to effectively communicate our offerings and drive engagement.
  • Ability to align marketing strategy with the vision of the CEO and company values.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools to understand the ROI of campaigns.
  • Excellent numerical skills, including utilization of metrics and processing figures using spreadsheets.
  • Experience working in a startup environment and building a team/department.
  • General "good taste," including an innate sense of aesthetics, a love for excellent copy, and a creative, witty communication style via video.
  • Ability to present concepts in new ways and from new perspectives.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate across all departments, as needed.
  • Self-directed and able to work closely with a high-performance CEO.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to drive creative efforts forward.
