The position is scheduled in-office 3 days a week, and is eligible to work in the following states: FL, IL, UT and NY

Summary Description:

The Account Manager, Paid Search, is a highly driven individual with a well honed discipline of managing client relationships and portfolio growth. The account leader is well adept at cultivating key client relationships, fully understanding their objectives and goals, and drives towards exceeding agreed upon KPIs. The Account Manager is responsible for driving every aspect of the account management flow - from strategy definition and planning, to successful, flawless campaign execution and optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Excel at key responsibilities that include but aren’t limited to a) client strategy definition and execution and b) successful campaign optimization that drive results

Client Strategy

  • Paid Search strategies that are aligned to client goals
  • Ensure that Paid Search strategies & plans are fully exhaustive and all-encompassing of strategies that are key to driving success for campaigns
  • Have a robust understanding of a full funnel strategy using different methods to drive key success metrics for clients.
  • Ensure consistency in end client reporting, Account Review templates, status call agendas and overall client engagement approach
  • Lead client relationship building, revenue growth and retention initiatives

Campaign Optimization

  • Drive flawless campaign execution and optimization
  • Ensure agreed upon KPIs are consistently met, according to the client’s “source of truth”
  • Work with Director of Performance Solutions for Search to ensure consistent training on the latest paid search best practices and strategies are delivered
  • Own revenue forecasting and accurate budget pacing

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing SEM and client relationships
  • Experience from an agency, client, or consulting environment.
  • Exceptional Relationship Management
  • Strong in building trusting and lasting client relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree required

SEM Experience

  • 2+ years of hands on experience managing paid search and shopping campaigns
  • Experience with Performance Max, Discovery, YouTube, Pinterest, Amazon and Walmart campaigns a plus
  • Proficient in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Skai, SA360, Pinterest and Optmyzr. Experience in Google Analytics, Salesforce, Google Data Studio and/or DV360 a plus

Additional Experience

  • Analytical Skills – Analyzing and synthesizing information to understand issues and identify options. Able to translate business requirements into reporting/analysis requirements. Ability to utilize / expand prospective business models.
  • Technical Abilities - Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint 2007/2010. Ability to apply troubleshooting tactics to fix issues that may arise.
  • Communicating Effectively – Writes and presents effectively; adjusts to fit the audience and the message; strongly gets a message across.
  • Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Influencing and Negotiation Abilities – Promote ideas and persuasively shape stakeholder opinions and negotiate skillfully to create the best outcome possible. Negotiate win-win solutions.
  • Detailed Oriented – Is well organized and resourceful, has the ability to reduce a complex concept or task into something that is manageable and clearly interpreted. Is able to get things done with less and in less time; can work on multiple tasks at once without losing track; foresees and plans around obstacles.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base salary for this role will be between $62,856- $98,280. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
