"Job summaryAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a motivated and experienced Head of Paid Media Insights and Analytics to manage and grow the paid media capabilities for AWS marketing globally.
We are looking for a seasoned, data driven leader who will continue building our Paid Media analytics programs and initiatives and who will drive the paid media business intelligence strategy, data pipeline infrastructure, reporting execution, intelligence publication, and measurement for the entire organization.

As our new Head of Paid Media Insights and Analytics, you will lead our efforts in driving better experiences for AWS marketers by partnering with them to deliver advanced analytics and insights, developing methods to measure and enhance campaign performance, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations for the AWS executive leadership team.
This requires communicating recommendations in a clear, concise, and compelling fashion.
You will also deliver narrative documents and strategic proposals to leadership regarding analytics insights and capabilities for the organization.
The strategic and consultative digital advertising expertise of this role is critical to understanding, measuring, and helping the organization deliver the best return on investment for AWS.
You must be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution while working independently, sorting through ambiguously defined problems, and identifying market challenges and opportunities for customers.
A successful candidate will have a proven experience leading marketing analytics teams, developing and executing data feature roadmaps, and provide advanced reporting capabilities for marketers to consume.

Key job responsibilities
o Lead, develop, and grow a team of high-performing business intelligence engineers, data analysts, and business analysts.
o Work with various teams across AWS Marketing to understand business goals, define digital KPI, and develop actionable insights and reporting for media campaigns across the business.
o Navigate ambiguity to help your team decipher complex problems, select an ideal solution from a wide array of analytic techniques and concepts, translate into actionable requirements and when needed be hands on in helping your team to review code and insightso Advocate for data driven decision making and encourage analysts to create actionable recommendations that create impact for our marketerso Show an appetite for learning new skills and adopting new analytic methodologies and tools while being prepared to dive into the details of the Datawarehouse and how our data clusters and tables are set upo Present complex analyses in a business friendly context to executive level stakeholderso Develop and Grow your team:
You'll need to coach individuals, lead technical discussions, recruit top talent and establish processes.
You'll be an example of Amazon's leadership principles and work to grow more leaders within your group.
o Earn trust by collaborating and working cross-functionally across multiple business functions and geographies with stakeholders across the Marketing & Sales organizations.
o Analyze marketing campaign performance and develop success measures across different dimensions and marketing teams.
o Work closely with AWS website product and engineering teams to develop best-in-class data collection, storage, and analytics solutions.
o Project Manage a roadmap for various initiatives to enhance the organizational analytics capabilities and proactively communicate the progress with marketers and the executive leadership teamo Oversee a relationship with analytics teams of external partners such as advertising media agencies and digital/social publishers to ensure reliable procurement of the campaign data that is required for our analysis and business insighto Provide support to the internal Finance team's need for campaign data related to their governance and accrual process
