Fluent is looking for an experienced search expert to manage and grow our partnership with Google. The perfect candidate will grow our UA strategy by employing their data-driven media buying experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding the power of creative strategy, analyzing the competitive landscape, and thinking forward with machine learning and other tools to advance our media buying footprint. We're looking for a talented media buyer and people leader with a passion for marketing, user acquisition and data driven decision making.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the current team of media buyers on search, display, discovery and video (YouTube) and recruit new talent as we scale.
  • Hands-on management of significant marketing budgets to maximize Fluent's growth and business profitability on search.
  • Optimize channel and campaign performance, championing KPIs critical to the business (ie. ROAS, CPA)
  • Regular reporting on performance; proactively sharing insights and learnings with cross-team stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to advance our media buying capability (ie. API integrations, automation/tools, creative testing, campaign structure, reporting)
  • Maintain and strengthen our partnership with Google; setting and achieving annual and quarterly targets through strategic testing, upper-funnel incrementally, and applying latest industry best practices.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in arbitrage media buying, user acquisition, or performance marketing; specific focus on Google search (GDN, YouTube, Discovery a plus).
  • Managed daily budgets that exceed $20k per day while maintaining positive ROAS for the business.
  • Strong analytical and metrics-driven mindset; advanced in Excel and BI tools to pull out key learnings and develop a strategy.
  • Creative and innovative problem solver; not afraid to roll their sleeves up to support their team.
  • Experience developing automated solutions for reporting and/or bulk operations.
  • BA/BS Degree in marketing/finance or equivalent.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $140,000 - The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Fluent salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
