We're looking for a smart, energetic, and detail-oriented Media Supervisor to oversee media strategy for B2B client programs. The Media Supervisor will lead client strategy across books of business, manage and mentor team members, and help shape the roadmap for media team capabilities at the agency. Responsibilities:
Media Capabilities Ownership & Development
- Working on roadmap for media specific channel/tactic offerings and capabilities for team based on industry trends, innovation, and client needs.
- Identify opportunities for the team to incorporate new offerings into current/future programs
- Utilize industry tools and research to provide education and insights for client and internal team requests
- Own and foster relationships with media sales reps and industry representatives, meeting with them on a regular basis to stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies. Share learnings with the larger team.
Tactical Planning
- Plan, execute, optimize, and report on strategic digital media campaigns with an emphasis on paid media tactics (including direct vendor/partner executions, programmatic media, content syndication, etc.)
- Provide strategic recommendations and insights from program inception to completion for digital media channels for complex global B2B clients
- Collaborate with teams on digital program strategy across paid, owned and earned channels and analytics
- Effectively manage client media budgets
Mentorship & Management
- Manage, train and mentor an integrated Media Team, which includes developing training/education materials
- Provide mentorship to help team members hone media skills and expertise
- Conduct regular performance reviews with direct reports, working on areas of professional development, strengths, challenges, and obstacles
- Plan and lead channel team meetings
Platform Training
- Conduct and facilitate platform training for preferred platforms (Campaign Manager and DSP's) and ensure that all team members maintain up to date certifications and proficiency in agency platforms
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of media with a focus on digital planning and buying/execution/optimization
- Familiarity with standard media planning and buying processes as well as industry relevant tools and trends.
- Proficient understanding of paid search, programmatic, and social tactics
- General understanding of how other less digital media tactics fit into an overall strategy (i.e. OTT, OOH, Audio, etc.)
- B2B client experience a major plus!
- Solid knowledge of standard tracking, tagging & trafficking tools (ie. DoubleClick, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
- Demonstrates agility via multi-tasking - multiple clients, programs, strategies & team members
- Seasoned professional with demonstrated skill sets for client interaction and communication; able to manage client requests and push back with sound rationale when necessary
- Proven ability to synthesize data & results, identify trends & key findings, and fuel content strategies
- Management experience of 1+ individuals
- An influencer that can work well with various groups and levels of the organization
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including editing others' work and coaching others' presentations
