As the Paid Digital Media Buyer (PPC), you will primarily run effective paid search campaigns, with a secondary emphasis on paid programmatic campaigns aimed at driving sales growth and qualified site traffic.

You will be responsible for the in-platform set up, day-to-day bid management/ optimization, and budget tracking of these campaigns to align with our business objectives. You will also be working with other cross-functional teams to identify new growth opportunities for Simply Business in the PPC/ biddable media space.

You will report to the US PPC Manager and work in close partnership with our Go-To-Market, Brand Marketing, Analytics, Finance, and Technology teams.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Support the development and own the execution of paid search and programmatic display campaigns, utilizing tools such as SA360, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and DV360.
  • Analyze campaign performance and summarize results/ trends each week to the broader marketing team.
  • Utilize competitive intelligence tools such as Adthena to monitor the search landscape, surfacing opportunities and trends to the marketing team.
  • Perform regular audits of keywords, ad copy and campaign structures to further the channel’s efficiency and effectiveness at driving sales.
  • Recommend and complete regular ad copy and landing page tests utilizing our CMS tool, reporting results back to the business.
  • Own budget management and assist with channel forecasting exercises.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Product, Finance, and Analytics teams to understand the business objectives, customer acquisition goals, and measurement methodologies which inform digital marketing planning.
  • Keep the customer top of mind while helping to develop advertising assets which adhere to paid social advertising best-practices.
  • Stay abreast of paid advertising news and PPC/ programmatic best practices, bring new opportunities forward that make sense to test.

What we are looking for:

  • At least 2 years of experience managing PPC campaigns with some exposure to programmatic/ network-based display advertising (preferably in the US market).
  • Track record of improving PPC/ display campaign efficiency with sales-based targets.
  • Experience leveraging audiences via a CDP or Google Analytics.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to analyze data and communicate trends and insights as they relate to business objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate and foster strong working relationships with internal teams and partners.
  • Strong working knowledge of: SA360, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, CDPs, Excel/ data visualization tools such as Looker. Adthena experience a plus.
  • Passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest advertising trends and marketing technology

What's going on with work from home and return to the office?

More and more, people are talking about going back to the workplace and the new normal. At Simply Business, we’re thinking of it as a Better Normal. That means offering our SBers more choice and greater flexibility to work in a way that’s best for their particular job, their teams, and their lives.

We’re shifting to a hybrid working model, so we’ll have employees working virtually and in the office at any given time.

We’re also aware there are times when working together in person is the best way to get things done. We expect our SBers to connect in their hubs (that’s what we call our offices) most likely 4 times a month. That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so we expect all SBers and their teams will find the operating rhythm that works best for them.
