The Paid Media and Demand Generation role manages digital marketing projects and processes with the objective of building and sustaining presence in digital channels, and increasing revenue and profitability. Under limited supervision, this job works to develop and improve web content and creation, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media marketing processes to attract potential customers to company websites.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Works to support the development and implementation of digital marketing efforts to build and sustain presence in digital channels and to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Manages the creation, maintenance, and publishing of digital marketing content for both company and non-company websites and social media platforms, ensuring content and display support marketing initiatives to meet business goals.
  • Researches and creates original content and coordinates internally developed content from other areas of the company based on target customer profiles.
  • Performs website editorial activities to ensure all digital marketing content is high quality, up-to-date, and consistent with brand and style guidelines.
  • Locates and negotiates the purchase of external content to advance the organization’s digital marketing content library.
  • Optimizes digital marketing content and text to drive high search engine rankings.
  • Applies advanced digital marketing knowledge to drive sales through online channels and shares best practices and insights with the digital marketing team to advance the organization’s digital platforms.

The Digital Paid Media is responsible for Nuveen’s digital advertising platform by implementing and managing digital and programmatic media campaigns that serve to promote Nuveen’s brand, products and services. This role is responsible for finding and negotiating deals with media companies, buying impactful ad-space and ensuring the campaign presents an effective message to the target audience. This role will also be a key player on the inhouse Nuveen Paid Media team, helping contribute to the strategy, development, implementation and optimization of digital, direct and programmatic campaigns across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • A key point of contact on Nuveen’s paid media team responsible for delivering the paid media strategy across all digital, direct and programmatic media partnerships.
  • Develop and execute media plans across multiple digital and programmatic media channels including but not limited to Display, Video, Audio, CTV/OTT, Digital Out of Home (DOOH) in addition to direct buys, linear/broadcast TV, radio, ABM and other paid media channels.
  • Conduct day-to-day hands-on execution, bid management and optimization of paid media campaigns and ad buys within Nuveen’s DSP environment.
  • Negotiates ad placements on behalf of Nuveen, keeping the campaign within budget and aligned to the organization’s marketing and business goals.
  • Drive audience strategies leveraging 1st party, 2nd party, and 3rd party data and evaluate and recommend potential 3rd party partners including data, viewability, ad fraud, brand safety, and cross-device solutions
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships to establish clear lines of communication with internal and external partners needed for campaign execution with direct line of communication to senior team members.
  • Partner with Data and Analytics team to build and maintain campaign performance dashboards using a combination of tools including in-platform, Data Studio, Google Analytics, or similar analytics tools.
  • Share and communicate media plans, performance reports, and insights to senior leadership, business partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with Ad Operations team to generate, deploy and manage media tags using Campaign Manager & Google Tag Manager
  • Monitor and identify competitive and audience trends in digital media channels and develop strategies and tactics to drive business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 – 6 years of experience in digital paid media advertising with 2+ years of experience with programmatic media buying
  • Experienced with planning and buying CTV/OTT advertising
  • Familiar with Digital Out of Home (DOOH) advertising
  • Extensive hands-on (in platform) experience managing campaigns with Google Campaign Manager, DV360, and experience with other DSP’s like The Trade Desk.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and peers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically around presentations; creative thinker
  • Effective time management and project management skills
  • Proven ability to develop and implement paid media strategies beyond just impressions and clicks

Related Skills

Base Pay Range: $91,900/yr. - $110,200/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
