"The Sr. Manager, Paid Media is responsible for managing strategy and execution of paid media marketing efforts, primarily through Paid Search, Shopping, and App install campaigns. This individual must have proven experience with customer acquisition/demand generation/direct response marketing, and a strong command of marketing analytics (CPA, LTV, ROI).

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, analytics driven, problem solver, and a well-rounded marketer with a strong customer focus, and will be a key contributor to the development of Wine.com s digital marketing infrastructure and process. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, analyze and provide campaign recommendations and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute paid search and shopping campaigns to drive revenue and new customer acquisition
  • Manage the budget, performance and effectiveness of owned marketing programs and campaigns
  • Own day-to-day management of SEM agency and partners
  • Implement testing methodologies (e.g., A/B and multivariate testing) on all elements of the digital marketing mix to improve conversion rates (ad copy, creative imagery, landing pages, offers, etc.) to optimize campaign results
  • Maximize the impact of ad spend by building and maintaining comprehensive dashboards of campaigns to drive and hit efficiency targets.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with product, design, and engineering teams

Qualifications

  • Hands-on e-commerce or B2C experience in direct response/customer acquisition marketing managing 6-figure+ budgets
  • Hands-on, demonstrable experience and proficiency with paid search platforms (Google Ads, Google Shopping, Bing, Yahoo) resulting in successful demand generation campaigns
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment; work collaboratively with cross-functional teams; and ensure high quality deliverables (attention to detail)
  • Experience managing and negotiating with outside agencies and third-party vendors
  • Strong analytical skills, with keen approach to problem-solving
  • Always innovating never satisfied with the status quo
  • Technology-savvy, with keen interest in emerging technologies and 'all things digital'
  • Experience with Tableau preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Familiar with online marketing KPI s (CPA, ROAS, LTV, ROI, CVR)
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background screen
