We are looking for a strong, passionate, and energetic Paid Search leader to drive growth and strategic oversight across the paid search department. This individual will play a role in shaping the direction and growth of the search practice and help guide some of our largest accounts. We are looking for someone passionate about search-driven performance marketing and well-versed in other digital acquisition channels. This individual should be a people-focused leader who wants to join an innovative digital agency that is hyper-focused on client performance and ROI.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a paid search team, comprised of Analysts through Directors
- Participate in new business pitches for SEM and/or Shopping (PMax)
- Serve as Paid Search Lead on 1 or more of the agency’s top 10 search accounts
- Work with clients to understand their business goals, and develop paid search strategies that align with those goals, present key strategies and drive innovation & testing on your book of business while improving performance
- Partner with cross-channel leads on creating a holistic media plan inclusive of forecasting, testing, tactical plans, and reporting
- Contribute to staffing decisions across your management org
- Coach your team in advanced SEM skills, multi-channel digital marketing strategy, and client management skills including projections, analytics reporting, etc.
- Deliver feedback, performance reviews, support, and recognition in pursuit of achieving team goals
- Work closely with Google, Bing, and other vendor partners
- Contribute to overall department training, POVs, award submissions, and case studies
- Willingness to join in-person team meetings, events, and client presentations as business needs arise, 1-2 times a quarter
About You
The essentials:
- 8+ years of paid search experience
- Experience with Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other major paid search platforms
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Past experience handling direct management of paid search budgets of at least $1MM+ in monthly ad spend
- Experience directing strategy for both B2B and B2C digital advertising efforts across different verticals is a plus
- Possess a strong POV on the future of search and the role of AI/automation across SEM/shopping
- Experience in YouTube, App Campaigns, GDN, Performance Max, Shopping, and Discovery outside of traditional search is a plus
- Experience presenting paid search strategy to marketing execs and large teams
- Have 3+ years of management experience with at least 2 direct reports
- Experience with a bid management platform is preferred such as SA360, Skai, Marin, etc.
- 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience

What We Offer
Media.Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Media.Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Media.Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
New York salary range
$160,000 to $180,000 USD
