Director of Paid Media Strategy

RKD Group, a direct response marketing and advertising agency, is seeking a Director of Paid Media Strategy to help drive revenue and create breakthroughs never thought possible for local and national nonprofit clients. With multiple locations across the United States, RKD Group has helped hundreds of nonprofits raise billions of dollars to fulfill their missions.

Join our team and assist with marketing and fundraising campaigns for causes such as helping lift children around the world out of poverty, finding and funding a cure for breast cancer, or rescuing animals from abuse.

The Director of Paid Media Strategy is responsible for leading a team of Media Strategists and oversees research, development, and implementation of media plans and develops process and plans for the media strategy team. The Director of Paid Media will work with buyers to ensure client budgets and target audiences are met.

The successful candidates will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management experience. They will have the ability to be an advanced technical/discipline leader, and manage client communication without requiring involvement from an account manager. They must be able to analyze paid media and analytics data and make specific recommendations supported by metrics.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

The successful candidate will

  • Lead a team of media strategists to develop paid media budgets and plans across the prospect, engagement and conversion media funnel. They will develop and deliver a clear strategic vision for each client.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of media channels and their potential to help clients achieve their goals. This will include handling media planning for their own set of assigned clients.
  • Have knowledge of tracking pixels and daily use of reporting and analytics.
  • Forecast, plan, and work towards achieving account growth objectives.
  • Provide opportunity analysis and support sales efforts for all new prospective clients.
  • Work with media buyers to expand team capabilities and offer innovative media planning to clients.
  • Lead paid media training for other client relationship teams at RKD.
  • Identify new paid media opportunities (channels, strategies, tactics).
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and the initiative to lead advanced projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
  • At least 6 years' experience in Programmatic and Social advertising

Pay Range expected for the position: $80,000-$125,000 annually

(Salary range may vary based on market location, job skills, experience, and knowledge.)
