"The Executive Director, Paid Media Strategy is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of the paid media organization supporting Aetna and all brands under our health care business portfolio. The Executive Director reports into the Vice President of Media & MarTech and works closely with senior Marketing leaders to drive strategy. They will oversee a team of media professionals who manage the day-to-day development and execution of paid media campaigns. This individual will also manage the media agency of record, responsible for ensuring appropriate service levels and performance. Oversee the operations of the paid media team, overseeing the development, execution, and on-going management of 60+ initiatives annually. Lead the vision of Aetna's paid media strategy, acting as the most senior subject matter expert for the health care business unit. Influence go-to-market strategy across a highly matrixed organization, presenting complex concepts to senior leadership in a clear and relevant manner. Ensure that media investments effectively achieve business objectives through constant monitoring of campaign performance, and continuous data-driven optimizations. Manage Aetna's media agency of record, working closely with agency leadership to maximize strategic output and ensure adherence to SLAs. Partner with CVS Retail/Pharmacy counterparts to identify synergies and develop cross-Enterprise strategy. Negotiate agency scopes of work to resource appropriate staffing levels while controlling costs. Collaborate with analytics and marketing stakeholders to develop and implement measurement approaches that prove marketing's contribution to business outcomes, employing a mix of approaches including direct attribution, marketing mix modeling, and lift analyses. Drive innovation, working closely with MarTech and analytics departments to identify and implement advanced marketing technology that enables data-driven planning, advanced targeting, and sophisticated measurement. Develop best practices from inside and outside CVS Health to drive operational excellence through continuous improvement e.g., brand safety guidelines, creative best practices, media planning/buying processes. Work with legal and compliance departments to inform privacy policies and apply legal guidance to media approach/operations to drive adherence of policies and regulations. Stay informed of latest trends and proactively push business driving ideas and innovative solutions to business challenges. Manage multiple, complex budgets.

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications 15+ years of prior, relevant marketing experience required; agency experience or within internal media department. Driven leader with proven ability to motivate cross-functional teams, and cultivate innovative, strategic thinking. Expertise in offline and online media (e.g., TV, Radio, Display, Video, Search). Deep knowledge of the changing media, MarTech, and data landscape. Experience developing media strategies for both performance-marketing (Direct Response), and upper funnel brand initiatives. Ability to manage competing priorities and deploy resources to meet deliverables. Strong persuasive skills; able to gain consensus through influence. Strong analytical skills with the ability to think creatively. Experience managing teams across multiple disciplines in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship development skills. Experience managing multiple, complex budgets. Demonstrated ability to work well in a complex, matrix-managed organization; and demonstrated ability to work well within teams, both in person and virtually. Adept at media math and developing insights to inform strategy and optimizations. Ability to work in fast-paced team environment.
